"Preliminary information suggests that Spokane County has one of the more efficient and effective systems of real property tax collection and enforcement in the entire Country. . . Partially because the County has a robust partial payment program for delinquent property taxpayers..."

TAXPAYER ADVOCATE
As the Spokane County Treasurer, Rob spearheaded successful legislation for partial payments of any amount at any time on property taxes.
While in the House Finance Committee, Rob helped move the bill to eliminate the usurious penalties on late property tax payments out of the committee where former Deputy Spokane County Treasurer Rep. Mike Volz moved it to the floor where it passed unanimously.
This allowed residents to keep their homes while saving $23 million in taxes from people who need help the most.
Rob received several awards, among them:
-
100% rating from The Freedom Index
(https://thefreedomindex.org) -
The Citizens Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) Rodney and Laurel McFarland Award.
-
A Perfect Score from the Family Policy Institute of Washington,
-
